La Chinesca: Delectable Mexican Tacos at BF Homes

I had no idea what I was in for when Sarah took me to visit La Chinesca. All I was told was that there was a great taco place over at BF Homes, and that it was run by Chef Bruce Ricketts. The place was packed... but thankfully we found a table right away. By the time we got seated, a line had already formed outside (Lucky us, honestly)!

Inside, you'd notice a lot of movie posters, or various images of pop culture. But of course, if you paid closer attention to detail, you'd realize that all the images had been modified... to put some form of Mexican pop culture twist into things.

Other than the wall, everything else is pretty no frills. The floors are washed concrete, but they do put some small accents here and there, like this cactus on our table and the Mexican cans that contain serviettes and other items.

Items on the menu generally contain the usual - al pastor, carnitas, barbacoa, asada, etc. I actually forgot what we ordered... but all I remember was that we also got something that wasn't on the menu! That said, the food was awesome... check out the photos below:

They offer 2-3 sauces to accompany your tacos. I personally enjoy my food with a kick, and so I usually popped in a couple more teaspoons than I should've. But overall, I was immensely happy with the food from La Chinesca!

Totally going back there if I get another craving for Mexican cuisine. But as the entire BF area is so immense and full of new things to try, I suppose it may take a while before I get to go back to this again!
