We celebrated the baptism of my nephew at Tim Ho Wan, over at Uptown Mall BGC. My brother and his wife hosted close friends and family to a sumptuous variety of great dimsum. Here's a list of stuff we enjoyed!
Spring Rolls with Egg White (Php 120) - crispy, just right! I enjoyed eating it with the sweet and sour sauce!
Poached Fresh Greens with Oyster Sauce (Php 180) - you could never go wrong with poached vegetables smothered in oyster sauce. Yum!
Chow Mien Stir Friend Noodle (Php 130) - I generally enjoy dry noodles more than I do noodles with soup. But for some reason I didn't entirely enjoy this dish as much (perhaps it was tooooo dry). But hey, food is food. And it's not to say this wasn't delicious. I suppose my I-enjoy-dry noodle marker just went down by chance.
Baked Bun with BBQ Pork (Php 145) - I honestly couldn't get enough of this. Fortunately for me, the people beside me (Aunt & cousins) weren't big eaters... so I managed to enjoy two of these!
Dumpling with Spicy Sauce (Php 150) - I personally love dumplings. And this was juicy! And yes, the spicy sauce just added the right level of kick!
Pork Ribs with Black Bean Sauce (Php 120) - It's probably the most underrated dimsum dish in terms of looks... but probably had one of the best tastes off the lot. I just wish I could eat this over rice!
Braised Chicken Feet with Abalone Sauce (Php 120) - They ordered so much chicken feet... that nobody wanted to eat them. I managed two, but that's all. It tasted pretty good, but I guess not many family members were big fans.
Thanks Justin & Sam (and Thomas) for the treat! I've always enjoyed Tim Ho Wan, and this merienda / early dinner was really great! :)
