The first time we went to The Grid, Sarah had ordered from Le Chon, Happy Ongpauco-Tiu's stall that sold gourmet lechon, as well as other really delicious grilled / rotisserie treats. Sarah is quite a creature of habit, so if she really enjoys something, she really goes back for more (this not only applies to food, but for travel as well, FYI).
She ordered the porchetta again (Php 350), complete with hyper crispy pork skin... and it came with the some buttered tanglad rice, a grilled eggplant, onions, tomatoes, salad, and of course some condiments.
On my end, I was curious to try their tuna steak (Php 370)... and was so surprised at how soft and well cooked it was! It was topped off with some sautéed vegetables and a heap of crispy garlic. Sarah had ordered a sweet labuyo sauce, in addition to the liver sauce and sweet chutney. I really loved the sweet labuyo sauce as it added an interesting (sweet) kick each time I smothered my tuna steak with it!
I guess what I appreciate with Le Chon so much was that you get really full with your order, and that the quality of food you get is really amazing for the price you pay. If I lived or worked in Rockwell, or if I happen to frequent this place, I would love to systematically try all their dishes. But so far, I've been very very happy with their food! Will definitely eat here again!
